ISMAC offers a unique training program in partnership with the Lenôtre School, combining French language learning with immersion in the world of French cuisine. This intensive program is specifically designed for future professionals in cooking, pastry, and baking who wish to master the language in a specialized professional context.

ISMAC is Qualiopi-certified, which guarantees the quality of professional training organizations. Additionally, our programs also allow participants to obtain the Le ROBERT certification for levels B2 and above.

PROGRAM

    •  Training Objectives

      • Acquire the technical vocabulary and expressions used in culinary professions.

      • Communicate effectively in real professional situations, both orally and in writing.

      • Prepare for official certifications (DELF / TCF / Le Robert).

      • Deepen your understanding of French gastronomic culture.

      • Facilitate integration into professional training or the job market in the food industry.

      The program is available at two levels:

      • A2 level group (requires A1 level upon entry).

      • B1 level group (requires A2 level upon entry).


  • Course Content

    1. Professional French for Culinary Arts

    • Analysis of recipes, kitchen instructions, and technical data sheets.

    • Vocabulary learning: ingredients, cooking techniques, utensils, plating, etc.

    • Simulations and role-plays: giving instructions, welcoming clients, job interviews.

    • Oral presentations of recipes, dishes, regional products, and personal creations.

    • Writing tasks: menus, orders, service notes, CVs, and cover letters tailored to the culinary sector.

    2. Hands-on Language Practice & Immersion

    • Case studies, videos, and specialized culinary articles.

    • Workshops simulating real kitchen or service situations.

    • Speaking exercises aligned with restaurant or kitchen contexts (e.g., explaining a dish to a foreign client).

    3. Monthly Field Visits (Educational Outings)

    • Guided by the FLE teacher to apply vocabulary and interact in real-life situations.

    • Visits may include: Rungis market, culinary museums, top patisseries, bakeries, or professional showrooms.

    • Thematic visits designed to enhance cultural immersion and confidence in communication.

PREREQUISITES:

No diploma or prior level is required to enroll in this program.


ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES & TIMELINES:

Enrollment is done by submitting the application form, either online or in person.
Once all documents have been submitted and tuition fees have been paid, the student will receive a registration certificate and a confirmation by email.

In-person training:
1 qualified instructor leads the session face-to-face.


Assessment / Instructional Support:

Diagnostic Test:
Evaluation of the candidate’s language level.
Placement into one of the 4 reference levels of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Important Notes

  • In the event of a delayed start, particularly due to administrative issues related to visa processing, any missed classes will be made up to compensate for the actual time of absence.

  • To access specialized courses at Lenôtre School, students must successfully pass the corresponding preparatory courses at ISMAC.

  • At the end of the preparatory program, ISMAC and the Lenôtre School will jointly organize a graduation ceremony. Tuition fees include a Michelin-starred gala dinner in a prestigious restaurant in Paris.

  • Students enrolled for at least two consecutive study periods and who pass the A2 exam at ISMAC will be eligible for a 3- to 6-month internship agreement, providing access to valuable professional opportunities.

  • Hands-on professional training sessions at Lenôtre are not included in this preparatory program.
